Primers had IPOD TODAY!! wow~ was damn fun! wahahaha! i wonder where did we get the energy and stamina from which we can played so many matches! fun fun fun~ The most memorable one was the match against SP! yeah SP! haha. so here goes the story!
I was the attacker(shooter) , so basically i was at our home base, Meilin our Captain. My defender was Qingyan from SP. We became friends after the match. it was so funny. So while waiting for NP teammates to pass the balls to our side, we chatted abit, asking each other's name. At the same time, marking each other :D First half of the match wasnt well played by us. Also, i didnt recall many shots made by us. Basically, the game was played at SP's base most of the time. First half ended and NP was behind by 8 to 9 points. None of us knew the score. lolx.
3 mins of interval before the 2nd half began. So Daniel told us some of the tactics that was used by the basketballs. At the same time, asking us to block, defend the SP when they have the ball. I think this was a great advice. PLay when you're in the game. defend when the other side is having the ball! so you see, i was the scorer, whenever i see my teammates passing the ball from the other side of the court, i will move away from qingyan, look for empty space to wait for the center players(audrey, ber, belle) to pass the ball to me. WOW 2nd half was super HIONG!(aggressive and fierce) mainly me lah! dont know what's wrong with me too! Probably my body felt it's all warmed up from first half, and i became super alert! :D the ball was flying, and i jumped for it, shoot it when im quite near Meilin. the DEfender in front of Meilin was! two thumbs up! she smacked away many shots made by Christine. Christine also quite obstinate. Her forte was three pointer shoot but at times, the way the ball lands were reachable for the defender! so whenever the ball was passed to me, i didnt take the risk, stood quite near from meilin and passed it to her! and it made it all the time! yeah!~ I was totally freaked out when i was shooting, Christine shouted:"NO!" i tell it's really scary that the ball wont be caught by Meilin! However it made it all the time !!yeah (v) The golden shot i ever made was the one that Daniel suggested, passed it from below. Cause to many, it was rather a habit to pass from the top. However, that defender was quite tall and macho. Seldom and close to never, left her spot. I only got the oppportunity to do it when she wasnt blocking meilin Directly! I gave meilin eye contact by making my eyeballs looking downwards. She got my message, straightaway her hands went down when i passed it from below! and yesh! we scored again within 30 seconds from the previous shot! wowhoh!~and we received the LOUDEsT cheer for that tactic ;) wahahaha MEILIN AND I HAVE CHEMISTRY!! my 老婆 wah!i felt so happy that i raised both arms pointing no.1 haha.. i had the urge of waving however didnt dare, like as though i looked like some big shot. so didnt! people humble mah! no, in fact it was a habit since secondary school that whenever we received cheers, we would wave!~wahaha that's quite random.
there's was a pass whereby it was caught between me and the SP. As usual, i was damn aggressive, didnt wanna let go of it! i caught it first but the referee gave the ball the the SP :( and i sort of fell for that, and suddenly legs became wobbly probably because butt went down on the floor after vigorous exercise. And QIngyan was quite cheeky she asked me whether i can still defend her or not :p of course i said YES! in fact i couldnt take it anymore, you know, seldom ex. and the stamina abit not there. lolx. on the funny side, whenever their team got the ball, where she was preparing to get the ball, i will block her to the max. as in both hands stopped her from moving. it's like when we play eagle and chicks where the mother mother hen protects the chicks from the eagle. yeah, my hand positions were like the mother hen! wahaha. i wanna let the SP teammates to drop off the idea of passing it to her :D wahahaha evil~ Even our officer said that! i blocked her until very JIalat!
For the second half of the game, we caught up the points we lost for the first half. the shots we made were superb! really! even though we still lost in the end but it was a marvellous game. the score was 14-20. :( for the second half, SP only score 2-3 points mainly was us scoring. Also based on meilin, the second half fengshui better, cause we changed side. That's why she wanted to stand at the other side for the first half, so that we can score better for later. And it worked!wahaaha!! ONce the referee blew his whistles, it marked the end of the game. I totally collapsed on the floor! really very HIONG match! wahaha! of course, NP primers were cheering. After that we shook hands with them. FOr Qingyan, we hugged. THough i was abit aggressive, i still said sorry to her if i contacted her if she had the ball! it was a competitive and friendly at the same time ~ lolx..
after we ended the competition, we walked for a while, and sat on the bench. (will get big butt if we sat immediately)OMG the sensation was indescribable! i felt the heat from bottom to the tip of my head! Shen li was saying my face was damn red! you see, i was already BURNT from dragon boat competition and plus the redness i usually have, i looked as though im drunk please! We only rest abit and NYP wanted to have friendly match with us! wow! we were dumbstruck. as in we just finished one game and want us to go agaiN! thank god, she said after we had our break phew!
random: i was wondering why there's no captain's ball as an offical sport? Or it's a beginner game for netball?anyway, we love captain's ball alot! :DDDD
IPOD indeed was fun! and SP clinched this year's championship and we didnt win anything! we ended the whole thing with a slight debrief from Daniel. And he praised us! he was saying, bball, and soccer were average, and didnt get into finals. However the gals were great especially the second half the game! which was played by us!!wahahahah!!
IPOD 08 will be NP's turn to organise and nevertheless, WE WILL PARTICIPATE AGAIN! yeah!
