hI! today i went for primers collection day. What do we do? basically we went to every household to collect food items to help the poor or the needy people. A great experience! I was rather upset in the morning, cause the group i was allocated to, were all strangers. as in none was from primers except the GLs. yeah, most of them are involved, being leaders. except me, the participant :(
So we went to Bukit Panjang estate to do our collections. Wow, new estate! lots of new HDB flats, a wide variety too. really a mixtures of different flats to cater to the different income groups and for social cohesion. :D the good thing about the collection, was able to see the different interior designs. :DD
oh yah, i think staying in public housing is that there arent much privacy. Especially those houses that has a long corridor, and windows facing it, windows are opened, and just by a walk down the lane, i can see everything the house has! also, i was able to tell whether there's someone at home,by the windows and door. also, youngsters love to blast the music, so when we were doing on one level, we heard someone playing jay chou's new album, the cow boy song. yeap yeap, we could hear it still even we were at the other end. Even best, we were at the other block and someone was playing the trumpet. this time, not the level, it's the whole BlOcK! yeap yeap yeap. resonance! due to the structure of the blocks that able to amplify the sound.
Last but not least, singaporeans are indeed, very kind hearted, and willing to give what theyre able to. some households gave bags of canned, dried food, some tried very hard, dig their kitchen to look for the items, guess wad we had, 2 cans of cocktail fruits! lolx. better than nothing right! :D
we were rather fast, and we ended 1.5 hour earlier! xD
okay, just a random pic. look at my team mates during AMT. while we were stressing over the rhythm, trying to finish it by that day, guess what Niang Zai and ah Li doing?! fighting over this broom stick -like aka floorball stick. okay this is a candid pic except for LI, cause she saw Wei weis taking a snap of it :D credits to Weiwei. was damn hilarious when i saw this in her blog. i didnt even know about this happening though i was in the room -_-""" yeap yeap yeap, tt's our "sound proof " studio. specially renovated, made for us :D our territory!
